The Wolfman rides again!
Boy I haven’t been as excited to see a film since, well…. (Scratches Indy4 off the list, and the last 3 Star Wars films) uuhhh…. it’s been a while. All throughout my childhood the ‘old-school’ werewolf movies have played a reoccurring role. I can’t seem to get away from them, even *gulp* the Teen-wolf saga. Don’t laugh, you watched them too. This version pays homage to the original, and surprisingly keeps from being too campy. Just enough dialogs to set the characters and their back-story, and then the monster gets center stage. I enjoyed the CGI effects as Benicio transforms as well as the final confrontation. They gave us plenty to see, but not so much as we could point out the flaws. The cast was stellar, and the sets and scenery were well chosen. All in all, this was a work of art. I was disappointed at it’s over all Box Office performance. If you’re into werewolves, it’s a must see!
